Mini album/Scrummy stash cafe challenge

I've had this on the go for a week or so and finally put the finishing touches to it. I used gift bag and papers from Funky Hand, making memories sweets, ribbon, doodling a swirl stamp and glitter glue. This weeks challenge over at Scrummy Stash Cafe is "hey baby" so I've entered it into that :o)

Non - craft weekend!

I've got a full blown cold (bah humbug!) and haven't felt much like crafting. Been out and about with my girlies though. Yesterday we went into town for the day and today we went to a little local farm shop that has a little petting area going on. It was fab!!! Thought I'd share some piccies :o)

First lets take a moment to worship at the altar of Radley bags! Oh how I love them :o)

This is a ladybird picture that Maddie (age 2) made at Borders kids club on Saturday (ok I helped a little bit - it was fun!!)

My gorgeous first born sitting outside the art gallery. We had a beautiful weather day yesterday. Shame it has chucked it down all day today!!

Both my girlies

Abbi holding Helen the chicken. Helen has to be the most laid back chicken ever!! She sat on Abbi's knee (even dozed off to sleep for a bit) for about 20 mins!

Maddie holding the cutest baby rabbit. It is only 2 and a half weeks old. It fitted in the palm of my hand and I was sooo tempted to slip it in my pocket when we left :o)

Oh it is sooooooo cute and sooooo tiny!! Bless!

Lamb feeding time!

It was so lovely having such a hands on experience with all the animals. A good time was had by all.

Bags!

Been fiddling this afternoon! Used Funky Seasons cd from Funky Hand and made a gift bag which is a direct print out from the cd (although I printed a co-ordinating pattern on the reverse so the inside would look nice to), then I made a bag card and a mini notebook to match. It was great fun :o)

DCM challenge - most distressing

Hi it's Keryn here and it's my turn to Distress you all, or at least your cards with this weeks dare. You can make a card for any season, any holiday, any occaision but you need to use either a fingernail, curled edges, sandpaper, tearing, anything you like really as long as looks like it's had a fair bit or wear and tear.

I made another quickie card. It only took 25 mins. I used scraps of 7Gypsies papers, some 7Gypsies gaffer tape, a gorgeous stamp from Paperartsy, a Prima flower and lots of tearing and sanding with an emery board. Quite like this card :o)

Flower power

I've gone all floral this aft with some designs for Funky Hand. The first card is all papers from Funky Hand and I've added ribbon, glitter glue and used a flower punch to make the border. The second card is also all Funky Hand papers and I've also used white craft wire, ribbon, a brad, glitter glue and a big flower.

I used Now That's Funky papers from Funky Hand, also used lettuce acrylic paint, K&Co rub ons, felt border, glitter glue, a swirl stamp and doodling. I used my new Ranger Inksentials white pen which is me new love! It is fab fabby fab fab!!

Giant tag

I made a giant tag last night using papers from Funky Hand (V Funky). The photo is of my eldest daughter Abigail when she was 9 months old. We were on holiday on a boat on the Thames and there was this stonking great pole down the middle of the boat which she loved to hang on to. We joked she was a budding pole dancer!!

DCM Challenge - Hot and Spicy

Have made another quickie card as I need to get Maddie to playgroup shortly. It's not my best effort I have to admit. I went for hot & spicy colours. K&Co Mira papers, Anita's scribble flower stamp, K&Co glitter rub ons and a cheapy 99p sentiment stamp. xx

Funky Hand

Well I have to say I've been in heaven today. My 1st 3 Funky Hand CDs arrived yesterday and so I've been playing last night and a little bit this morning and a little bit late afternoon too! LOL!! All the papers are fab! I've been creating like a mad thing. Some of my creations I'm happy with and some didn't turn out quite as expected but hey ho we live and learn. The hardest thing is that because some of these cards might be shown on Create and Craft, we have to try and avoid stamped images as they like to only show stuff they sell. I can however use my Cuttlebug so (oh dear) I may just have to get more supplies for mine! The rest of the DT are incredibly talented - I hope I can keep up! Anice says we can blog what we make so here's what I've made so far. See what you think...

..........don't you DARE take my photograph!!!!!

Oh the joys of terrible 2's!!!

DCM midweek challenge

Patterned paper doodling! If you get a chance to look here you will find a fabulous tutorial from Lythan on how to add a little extra to your patterned paper.

I had a very quick go late this afternoon. I used paper from the Now That's Funky cd from Funky Hand. I added dots, bizarre funky flowers and drew round shapes.

Paper before doodling

Girls card

I've had a little play again with the new Funky Fairy girls papers. I decided it was time to air my cows Penny Black stamp again. I've not used it for almost 2 years! I've used watercolour pencils to colour the image in and added a hand written sentiment and a Lakeland bloom.

Boys cards

I made a couple more boy cards with the fabby boys and girls kit at Funky Fairy's! The papers really are delicous! I ususally find boys cards so hard but not with these :o) I used a Sugar Nellie stamp on one card (monkeh) and a Penny Black doggy stamp on the other. x

Funky Fairy Challenge 16 stars & stripes

The challenge this week is set by Karen.

I was inspired by the new and totally fabulous Funky Fairy 'Girls and Boys' papers to set this challenge as Stars and Stripes. As always, you can use any papers and embellishments and you can make anything you wish: I just want to see stars and stripes in or on there.

The best thing is that there will now be a prize every week for one lucky person - a download of your choice from Funky Fairy Papercrafts so get creating - you could be a winner!!

This is my card using the fab boy papers and an animadoodle from the fab stamp range at Funky Fairys!!

100th post and exciting news!!

How fab that it should be my 100th post that I announce that I am now designing for the fabulous and talented Anice at Funky Hand !!

I'm dead excited about this and feel incredibly lucky! Now I just need to win the lottery so that I can give up work and do crafty stuff full time!! LOL

I also want to congratulate the other members of the DT and I look forward to working with everyone. Anice's announcement can be found here

Hugs
Jozza x

By crikey it works!! (and it's easy!!)

I saw this idea on someone's blog. Unfortunately I do a lot of blog surfing and I can't actually remember whose blog I saw it on but I do remember that it wasn't her idea it was from yet another blog! It was to decorate a pillar candle with a stamped image! Had a go this evening and it works!! And is easy!! I was almost wetting myself with excitement!! I really wish I had bought more than 2 candles when I was at Ikea on Wednesday!!!!

You stamp and emboss the image you want to use onto tissue paper. Then colour it (I used Marvy Le Plumes). Lay the tissue paper image over the candle where you want it to go then heat with heat gun and it kinda melts in with the wax! Dead quick and simple! This is my first attempt so I'm sure I'll get better at it. I made a matching card and added glitter glue.

Lola is an angel!

After finishing the Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge I used some leftover bits and bobs to make a quickie card. It's not my best card by any means but it's ok.

Scrummy stash cafe sketch challenge

I wanted to have a go at this weeks Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge which is a sketch set by Vanessa.

I decided to do a scrapbook page although I am still a novice scrapper. I used a phot of my youngest daughter when she was about 6 weeks old which I printed out a few months ago with a view to scrapping it but never got round to it - so this sketch was a gift!

I used papers by Fancy Pants Designs, I hand cut a circle frame and hand stitched it over the photo, I also stuck a die cut crown on Maddie's head, coloured a tag with distress ink and added a rub on and doodled swirls. I stuck buttons across the bottom and added a bloom and doodles swirls top left. I also drew around some of the images on the paper in black ink. I added the name Madeleine with Sue Dreamer alphabet stickers and added glitter glue to accent certain aspects of the layout.

Crafty afternoon

Well to distract myself while my baby was at her first playgroup session I indulged in a craft session. I had another play with my Funky Hand paper blossom papers and made a couple more cards.

I used paper blossom papers, buttons, large bloom, ribbon, Heidi Grace rub ons and paper blossom alphabet to make the word "friends"

For this one I also used paper blossom papers and alphabet. Again I used buttons, glitter glue and a swirl stamp.

DCM challenge - butterflies

The new challenge is butterflies - anywhere on your card. A tricky one for me as I don't actually have that much in the way of winged things in my stash. However after a hunt around I came up with a quick and simple card.

A small butterfly stamped directly onto the card, framed with a frame stamp on patterned paper (crate paper I think). I also stamped a floral border up the left hand side of the card. Used watercolour pencils for the colouring and added some glitter glue. Only took 20 mins.

My time to craft challenge 9 - in stitches

This weeks challenge is to create a project with stitches (either real or faux) on it. I made some more little tiles using boys papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts. The papers are faux stitched together to make a mini patchwork. I have also done a fake running stitch around the outside of the card. The sentiment is woodware stamps and it is Anita's sticky ribbon.

My time to craft challenge - Charlie Boy!

I wanted to do something with the new boy papers from Funky Fairy Papercrafts other than a card and as I live in a house full of girls (apart from OH) I decided to base something about one of my cats! As the my time to craft challenge is furry friends this would be ideal for that too! Charlie was the subject of a mini photo shoot this morning and he wasn't that happy about it cos he wanted to snooze!! With the photos and the gorgeous boys papers from Funky Fairy, I made a little bind it all book.
