2 sketches 4 you - Kazan's sketch 10

Great sketch this week again but hmmmm I'm just not sure about my card. I think it's a little too "busy". Perhaps my mojo has left me in anticipation of tomorrow (I'm having an operation on my hand to sort out my carpal tunnel syndrome so may be off crafting for a short while unless I can craft left handed!)

Papers - Basic Grey - Scarletts letter
Stamps - Hero Arts
Ribbon from stash
Tag and alphabet stickers - also Basic Grey

12 years!

It's my 12th Wedding anniversary today. Gee whizz I can't believe I'm old enough to have been married 12 years! I can't believe how the years just seem to fly by...

My hubby got me some rather beautiful flowers and also a mini slab selection from Hotel Chocolat (yum yum!). Thought I'd flash the flowers on here :o)

Also, remember my whiny whingy moany post the other day about my dotted swiss cardstock with the squished fly on? Well I took a photo of it so you could see it in all it's revolting glory!

All together now......."EWWWWW!"

Hehehehehe

It's no secret that I have a mental age of about 6 so you can imagine how much fun I just had over on http://www.yearbookyourself.com/ where you can put your face in yearbook photos from the 1950's upwards. Hehehehe check Jozza out! lol I urge you all to try it!

Shouty card

There are times when I want my card to shout at me. This one does the trick - it's not orange - it's ORANGE!!!!

Fun day!

I went to the Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza today. Ooh I love it - my very favourite show! Didn't spend too much mainly due to the fact that we weren't there that long rather than anything else. I tell you what though - I only went and accosted poor Kirsty Wiseman on the Art From the Heart stall. Poor love being accosted by a crazed rabid Jozza who was very excited to meet said crafting heroine! Anyhow she was very lovely and down to earth and didn't tell me to naff orff bless her :o) Isn't it funny how you start off these converstations "I promise I'm not a stalker but..." lol

I'll show you what I bought in a minute but first I want to say how pooped I am :o(
Probably doesn't help that I keep forgetting to take my iron tablets (d'oh) so how the devil am I going to perk up my blood? I have got soooo much crafting to do this week and a really busy week at work too so I think I'm going to have to be having some late nights if I'm going to get it all done. Methinks I will be a very grumpy tired Jozza by Friday. I so wish I didn't have to go to work and c
ould just craft all day :o( if any millionaires are reading this please feel free to donate to the get Jozza at home all day crafting/let's buy oodles of stash fund!

Right then here's the stash which is actually not that much really is it? I can't believe I didn't buy more stamps!

I got 10 sheets of core dinations card stock (excited!)
A Little Claires tree stamp
Imaginisce spider stamp
Red flowers
Black ribbon (which I so don't need but I seem to have developed a fetish for the stuff!)
3 rolls of DST (can't live without it)
Christmas sentiment round things from Craftwork cards
Couple of sheets of Christmas papers
Stickles
Inkssentials pen ('cos I live in fear of my current one running out!)
12x12 pack of Basic Grey papers (a bargain at £10)
Most exciting was the Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock (although I am more than a little bit peeved that several of the sheets have a greasy finger mark on them and one of them has a squashed bloody mosquito on the back of it all dried and awful with it's legs all over the place!)
I bought said dotted swiss from a retailer that has VEXED me because of the above fact and also because the robbing b'stards charged me an extra 50p because I was paying by card and spending less than a tenner! SO boo hiss to the shop who I won't name but there are 2 words in their name, the second of which sounds a bit like camelot!

I feel a bit better for getting that of my chesticles! xxx

Crazy kids!

I've just been messing around with my camera as with the auto settings I often find that the pics come out a little blurry or the brightness is off. I really must learn how to use it properly!

Anyhow I took some pics of the gir
ls who are quite frankly MAD! It all started off quite innocently...they were both on the floor doing some colouring and I took a fairly normal pic of Maddie. However once Abigail cottons on to the fact that I am taking pics of them madness takes reign! Now Abigail can not pose for a photograph. She has the fakest smile I have ever seen when she poses. If she's not doing the fake smile then it's usually a manic face she is pulling with wild eyes. Anyhow the only natural(ish) photo I got of her was when I said "Abigail smells of wee and poo" hehe (she doesn't of course...it was to try and make her laugh!) see if you can spot it. The last picture depicts Abigail trying (and failing) to do a Dr Evil! haha

Fairly normal pic!

Hmmm a little fake

Manic!

Ooh hello!

So there they are in all their mad glory. I really don't know where they get this mad streak from......

Do excuse their hair. I haven't brushed it yet today because I am a bad mother I haven't got round to it yet.

Might take them for a walk down by the river after lunch as it's a glorious day here. Perhaps I will take my camera :o)

Photos

All I seem to take photographs off at the moment is cards! Today I took photos of things other than cards.....

This gorgeous boy is our hamster - Ratatouille. I am very attached to this boy! Our last hamster was a girl and very nervous - we were unable to handle her and unfortunately she died a little while ago :o( I decided to try a boy and he is soooo different. He is very calm and I think he may be deaf (which is probably a blessing in this household!). Even Maddie had a little hold of him this morning. He's eating dried banana in this picture. It's blurred unforunately because hamsters are not very good at keeping still and I took the pic on the macro setting that I use for my cards.

And here is Maddie munchkin looking a little gormless - bless! She was feeling very happy because she had just held Ratatouille :o)

Sketches by Tamara - card sketch 62

Tis another gorgeous sketch this week :o)

My friend Ruth sent me some fabulous stash in the post that arrived this morning - thanks sooooo much Ruth :o) I couldn't wait and used some of it on this card...

I've used lace on this card and it is for a boy so perhaps it would have been a good one for the DCM challenge hehe

Papers - Funky Fairys Papercrafts - A chocolate covered Christmas
Dinosaur stamp - Studio g (a gift from Ruth)
Fiskars border punch
Penny Black birthday stamp
Studio g boy stamp
Lace from stash
Brads - Queen & Co (from Ruth)

DCM - All mixed up

Something strange is going on in blogland! When I posted this all my text disappeared!!!

This week's theme is All Mixed Up. How come the majority of girls cards are pink and flowery and the boys are blue and have absolutely no flowers at all? What about cars for girls??? hmmm? This week Tracie wants you to mix up those genders and create cards with a little bit of something not normally found for that sex.

I went the whole hog and did a pink boy card :o)

Stamp - Penny Black - coloured with prismas
Paper - DCWV - Rockstar
Ribbon from stash
Birthday embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Doodlebug mini rub ons in white

Chloe

There's a new little girl stamp called Chloe just newly released by Funky Fairys Papercrafts. Bless she is so cute and she is based on Shaz's real life daughter Chloe (hence the name). I just took delivery of one of the new stamps to try and made a card with her tonight. I've also used the new Funky Fairy download "A chocolate covered Christmas" which is a huge kit full of yummy papers, toppers, box templates, alphabets, word albums etc... there's loads of goodies in it and the colours are yummy. You can use most of the elements in it all year round too which is a bonus :o)

I used...
Chloe stamp (the sentiment is also included along with another that says "fairy wishes") coloured with Prismacolor pencils & sansodor
A chocolate covered Christmas papers and toppers
Pink gems (Dovecraft)
Snowflakes embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Glitter glue
Fiskars border punch (scalloped daisy)
Brown sheer ribbon (from my good mate Ruth)

Dottie's world - going for a song!

I'm actually meant to be ironing but I couldn't resist one more challenge. I wanted to do the Dottie's world challenge last week as I had finally got round to downloading some images but time was against me so I was determined to join in this week!

"All you have to do along with using a Charmed download, is incorporate the words of a song or the title of a song into your card but you're not allowed 'happy birthday' or 'congratulations' for your song, I know I said easy but that's a step too far along the easy road!"

As I don't have many images yet (I downloaded "dress up Dottie") I had a look through the ones I had to see if anything inspired me. Lo and behold I saw this and thought "Wild Thing" hehehe

Paper - Blonde Moments
Image - from the Dress up Dottie collection at Charmed Cards and Crafts
Flowers - Doodlebug
Ribbon & brad from stash

Penny Black Saturday/Cute card Thursday

I'm not usually one to combine challenges - I prefer to devote time to each one....however, as I'm a bad cardmaker who deserves to be punished I've not had much time this week I've combined 2 challenges.

Penny Black Saturday is to make a card for a man but not using the colour blue

Cute card Thursday is to make a card featuring cats or dogs.....

Cute doggy stamp - Penny Black
Brithday stamp - Penny Black (it's actually the birthday dreams do come true one but I masked those words out)
Polka dot paper - Dovecraft
Stripey paper - Daisybucket
Alphabet stickers - Basic Grey

Sketches by Tamara - sketch 61

It's another gorgeous sketch! My card seemed to make itself this week. It was inspired by some Basic Grey rub ons that I found amongst my very disorganised stash!

I turned the sketch on it's side.......

I'm very very pleased with this card (which is a rarity).

Bird - Basic Grey periphery rub on
Paper - Basic Grey - Periphery
Flowers - Prima
Brads and ribbon from stash
